Timothy John (Tim) Rapsey died suddenly and peacefully at home in Nova Scotia on July 17, 2025 at the age of 72. Tim is survived by his wife, his companion through out his life, Fabienne (Aubin) and his three children, Eileen, Nicola and Thomas. A deep intelligence resided within Tim. He was a wise, gentle soul, with a passionate nature and oh so mischievous.

He was something of a writer and a poet, an avid reader, a teacher and an organic/biodynamic farmer of more than fifty years. Meaningful community of all ages formed wherever he lived.

He was born in England to Canadian parents. Those early years in England then growing up in Canada always remained part of who he was.

Tim returned to Britain around 1972 where he learned to farm. He has farmed with Fabienne in England, where they met, in Wales where they married, Scotland, where their three children were born, in France, in the USA, and in Canada. 

He will continue to be loved by countless people whose lives he enriched throughout the course of his well lived life.
