Obituary of Brian Timothy Trimper

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Timothy Trimper, age 64, and his beloved wife Judy Pauline (Lincoln) Trimper, age 63, who passed away together unexpectedly on July 1, 2025. Married for 40 beautiful years, and together for nearly 45, Brian and Judy lived a life grounded in love, faith, and unwavering devotion to each other, their family, and their community.

Brian was born on May 17, 1961, in Digby, Nova Scotia, the proud son of the late Carl and Vera Trimper. Known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skill, Brian spent many years in the logging industry, beginning with his brother Jack, then Harold Clapp, before returning to work with Jack again. He later joined J.D. Irving, where he began as a log truck driver and rose through the ranks to oversee woodworking equipment, earning respect across the industry. After many dedicated years, he transitioned to Elliot Excavation, where he worked for nearly 12 years. Retirement didn’t slow Brian down—he channeled his talents into building his own business, Brian Trimper Welding and Fabrication, where he could be found hard at work, often with Judy by his side.

Judy was born on April 12, 1962, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, the cherished daughter of the late Bryce and Thelma Lincoln. She had a long and successful career in retail and banking, beginning at the CFB Cornwallis Canex, and then moving to RBC, where she worked in both the Cornwallis and Digby branches for over 20 years. After retiring from the bank, she found a new calling as Aquatic Director at the Fundy YMCA, where she developed a passion for AquaFit, helping those with arthritis and other mobility challenges. Never one to sit still, she later taught line dancing, choreographed her own routines, and eventually became Brian’s “little helper,” assisting with the family welding business and managing the books.

Together, Brian and Judy built their life from the ground up—literally. They constructed their own home, raised their children with love and faith, and cultivated a life filled with joy, simplicity, and partnership. Their love was evident in their daily traditions, like Sunday date nights with Chinese food, and the quiet ways they supported one another’s hobbies and passions.

Brian was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating, snowmobiling, and riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles. He took immense pride in maintaining their beautiful property and could often be found working on his lawn or tinkering in his workshop.

Judy’s creativity shone through her many hobbies—rug hooking, crocheting, knitting, and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She especially loved beachcombing for sea glass, transforming her finds into cherished keepsakes for their home. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her daughter, particularly on their adventures to Frenchy’s.

Together, Brian and Judy shared many of their favorite pastimes. Whether exploring back roads on the 4-wheeler, taking motorcycle trips along the South Shore, or simply enjoying quiet time on their property, they were true soulmates—each other’s best friend and constant support.

They are survived by their loving daughter, Kathleen “Kati” (Jason) Guest, and are predeceased by their cherished son, Benjamin Timothy Trimper. Brian is also survived by his brothers, Clarence (Margie) Trimper and Jack (Lisa) Trimper. He is predeceased by his sisters, Beverly and Patricia in infancy, his great-nephew Ezra Trimper, sister-in-law Sandra Trimper and parents Carl & Vera Trimper.

Judy leaves behind a large and loving family, including siblings Wayne (Valerie) Lincoln, Mark Lincoln, Nancy (Randy) Mullen, Karen (Darren) MacLeod, Glen (Susan) Lincoln, Deborah (Linus) Hannam, Sharon (Joe) Lincoln, Paul (Shelley) Lincoln, Wendy (Trevor) Robar, sister-in-law Linda Lincoln, and brother-in-law Randy Farrell. She is predeceased by her sister Brenda Farrell, brother Brian Lincoln, niece Tina Lincoln and parents Bryce & Thelma Lincoln.

Brian and Judy will be deeply missed by their many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, their fur-grandbabies Ranger, Stella, Sadie, Macy and their beloved chicken “girls” Scarlet, Hettie, Etta-May, and Nellie.

They were each other’s home, and their love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know them.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th at Kaulbach Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal from 6-8 pm.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th at the Bear River East Baptist Church at 4:00 pm.  Pastor Herb Anderson and Pastor Fred Bigelow officiating.  Interment in Clementsvale Cemetery.  Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Bear River East Baptist Church or the Bear River Fire Department.

“Together in life, together in eternity.”
