It has become my understanding that Anne's paintings are safely and lovingly displayed in peoples private homes
and not in storage of deep museum vaults and gallery collections.

I was read all these beautiful heartfelt sentiments about my sister.
Anne was not a person who allowed outspoken love letters. No criticism is happening now.
Her sheltered artist instincts expressed her true feelings of mother nature and of those who surrounded her.
When she allowed her talent to come forward, the sentiment expressed in her art flourished.
I especially appreciate this now as I am so physically removed from her.

A Memory.
In December of 2019 Gill and I were “out east” and with the encouragement of Dad (Charles H. Jefferson) we took a little side trip to see Aunt Anne in Annapolis Royal and a visit to Bear River and Hill and Dale Farm.
A few fond memories of this trip include the Jefferson family farm a lunch of squash soup at Anne’s apartment. We were also reminded of the McCain art connection and of those challenging depression days endured by Anne and her siblings. I wonder if we would have thrived as well under those conditions? It was a childhood thin on material wealth and rich in memory.
The photo is of Aunt Anne and Ian Jefferson under the old Horse Chestnut tree in front of Hill and Dale Farm.

Hi Anne up above and beyond us, gathered in the presence of the Most Highs, thank you for the blessing of knowing you as my Auntie Anne. Spaghetti dinners, wood slat windows behind raffia woven wine bottles, Purdida (sp) the dog, a maze for hamsters in Geoffry's room, great pads of newsprint paper to draw on, an extensive lego set, the pastel hues of oil paint lining the edge of your palette as you mixed and tapped on the canvas as I sat for you. The yearly Christmas cards with a sketch of your children playing in the snow. Your little yard behind the house, Tony moving along doing a handstand on his skate board, his fine drawing skills, The mystery of Stephanie's room, I coveted her wooden jewelry box with many doors and drawers and ivory inlay. The great full length bathtub up on its feet with the flexible shower hose, all childhood memories of our Toronto days.

I am one of the nieces of Aunt Anne. My family visited her in St Andrew one time. Anne served us breakfast with fresh blueberries. From then on my children call her the blueberry lady. I will miss her.

Keri, and to Anne’s dear family, I send my deepest condolences to each one. Anne was a true person of history and facts. Anne always shared her views with a strong sense of who she was and lived her days according to her interests, never forgetting to feed and watch the bluejays outside her bedroom window. I treasure sweet moments of Anne sharing interesting stories from her life as an artist. Sending love to all. XO Susan (your piano player)

I met Anne about 20 years ago in Annapolis Royal and I will never forget that moment. She has been a cherished friend. Anne was an amazing and gifted artist and it was the joy of her life. We spent a lot of time together throughout the years and I will always have those memories. Bless you, Anne.
