Our Aunt Paula was always a warm and kind person, her cooking was the highlight of visits for me. I particularly remember the first time trying roast asparagus that Paula had made, it very well may have changed the course of my life.
Even now, with her stained glass work hanging on her grand niece’s window, Paula will always be part of our homes and our hearts. She will be greatly missed.
- With all our love Matthew, Jennifer and Baby Elizabeth.

The time we spent with Jack and Paula during my upbringing left so many lasting memories in my mind:
We still refer in our house to her famous salad dressing as ‘Paula’s salad’
My love of bread grew from the great breads she'd pick up at the Market and bring home for dinner when they were visiting.
I can vividly remember an exceptional bbq dinner at Jack and Paula's place in Nelson on the water. For a young boy to think a salad topped with flowers was awesome is a testament to the amazing Chef.
I can still hear Paula’s voice getting louder and more passionate with whatever conversation was going on in the other room - generally ending with her wonderful laugh!
Since our wedding I've always cherished her beautiful stained glass lamp that sits beside my daily in my office - a constant reminder of a wonderful person who I'll always remember.
Our heart goes out to you Jack and hope that great memories give you strength moving forward.

Thank you for taking care of Jack, for all these years. What an amazing adventure you and my brother have been on. You two have lived in so many places, it's hard to keep track of them all! You both inspire everyone. We do know that we had several wonderfully cooked meals and gracious hospitality at some of your beautiful homes. I won't make another stained glass project without thinking of you. You will be missed. With Love, Doug and Barb

I met Paula in 2018 when she agreed to make a personalized stained glass wedding gift for a young friend of mine. After that, we became friends and met often for coffee and chats. It was during those chats that I became aware of her health history and the seemingly never-ending challenges she had to face.
Her courage when dealing with each issue never ceased to amaze me as well as the humour she always maintained to spare everyone the discomfort of talking about her mounting health problems. Incredible strength even in these final months and weeks.
Her passing leaves an empty spot in many of our lives. Condolences to Jack. 47 years of wonderful memories will help you
through this time.

Paula was a talented craftsperson, and a genuinely good human being.
Her warmth and light will be missed by me. The craft community mourns her passing.
Rest until we meet again.
Deepest condolences to Jack and both their families.

I have vivid memories of Auntie Paula and Uncle Jack’s home on the south east shore of Kootenay Lake in Nelson, BC. The garden leading to the lakeshore was picture book peaceful, Auntie’s glass studio was quaint and inspiring and her home was always warm, inviting and beautiful. That’s one way auntie showed her love- was making sure every detail from a meal she made you, to the space she welcomed you into, to a gift she made and wrapped for you, was thoughtful, curated and beautiful. You could always feel the time and attention she put in, showing her care and love for you. For my wedding gift, she made me a beautiful stained glass lamp shade. I felt so lucky to have received such a beautiful gift that I now cherish and always will. It serves to remind me of the careful care and love that Paula gave to all in her life. She will be missed, but it eases our hearts to know she’s at peace and without pain. Love you Auntie Paula. Love you Uncle Jack. - Annice
