
Obituary of Vance and Jacqulyn Grant
Vance Phillip Grant, 85 of Tupperville passed away April 4, 2025 in Springfield, Annapolis Co. Born in Digby he was a son of the late Arch and Gladys (McDonald) Grant. After school Vance worked at the Coop in Lawrencetown for a short time before joining the army and serving on peacekeeping missions in Egypt and the Gaza Strip in the late 1950’s. Following his military career he worked for Scotia Sprinkler installing plumbing at United Elastic and later worked for United Elastic. Vance and Gordon Morse later purchased A.W. Allen’s in Middleton and operated that until he started and operated Vance Grant Sales and Service in Tupperville which he ran until the time of his death and was well known and respected by many. Vance loved to spend his free time hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Vance is survived by sons : Trevor (Dale Illsley); Troy (Kimberly) all of Tupperville; grandchildren: Douglas of Halifax, Aaron (Gabby) of Lawrencetown, Jeremy of Tupperville and Collin (Jesse) of Kentville; brother Harold “Dick” (Linda) of Centrelea,;sisters: Sandra Vidito, Linda Phillips, Vickie Cherry (Trevor) of Saskatchewan, Cindy of Centrelea; He was predeceased by grandson Micheal,; sisters Vivian, Hughina Hewey (Randy) brother-in-law Rodney Vidito; foster brother, Lawrence “Manny” ( Peggy) .
Jacqulyn Anne Grant, 84 of Tupperville passed away April 4, 2025 in Springfield, Annapolis Co. Born in Carleton Corner she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Anna (Rawding) Bent. Jackie worked at Steadman’s and then at United Elastic until she chose to stay home and raise her family. Jackies spare time was spent working in her garden, or with a sewing or crafting project on the go.
Besides their sons Trevor and Troy and their families Jackie is survived by her sisters Rhonda “Rose” Baltzer of Middleton; Elizabeth (Robert) Deroucher of Kingston. She was predeceased by grandson Micheal, brother-in-law Gerald Baltzer.
Funeral service for Vance and Jackie will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 19, 2025 at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Reception to follow. Private family burial will take place in Centrelea Cemetery. Donations in their memory may be sent to Charity of Choice.
