Obituary of Charlotte Matilda Hamilton
Charlotte Matilda Hamilton, 100 of Litchfield, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, Annapolis Royal. Born in London, England, she was a daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Thompson) Phelan. Charlotte met her husband Earl Hamilton in England during World War II, becoming a war bride. She was very fortunate to be able to take many trips back home to visit her family in England. She joined the War Brides of Nova Scotia. Charlotte was a great knitter and enjoyed participating in many variety shows, a dancer and teacher for majorettes, walking in many parades. She is survived by her children, Lynne (Gaston) Caron, Litchfield; Andrew (Wendy) Hamilton, Annapolis Royal and Myra-Jo (Andreas) Kryseski, Texas; granddaughter, Nicole Hunt; great grandchildren, Aylissa Hunt and Brennen Hunt; sister, Iris True, England; brother, Stephen Phelan, England; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl; sisters, Myra Berlein and Elsie Spicer; brother, William Phelan in infancy; grandson, Stephan Caron. A visitation will be held 7-9 pm Wednesday, with a funeral service held 2pm Thursday, April 10, both in the Kaulbach family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
