Obituary of Justin Nicholas Sichky
Justin Nicholas Sichky
October 26, 1983 to March 4, 2025
We are devastated to announce the passing of Justin “Sickkamore” Sichky.
He will be profoundly missed by his wife Susie, parents John and Diana, brother Ryan, Natasha, and Nataya, grandparents, Bill and Hilda Bremner, Aunt Wanda & Uncle Stephen Reid, cousins Nadine, Nathan & Kaye, Regina SK., Uncle Mike Sichky & Christa MacMurtry Trout Lake NS., Mike & Pam Corporon Yarmouth NS, many cousins & extended family throughout NS, father In-law Don Hoffman, brother In-law Doug Hoffman, his wife Gita, nephew Phineas and niece Koebe of Vancouver.
Growing up in Chester he was involved in many activities. He loved hockey most of all, but also played baseball and golf. He always had lots of energy, and loved tagging along with Ryan and his friends whenever he could.
He was known for his charismatic smile, quick wit and heart of gold to all who knew him. He had a great passion for music and life. You could always find him working on his many cars, and any other thing that had wheels that would spin.
He loved music of all kinds, especially when he was driving. He loved to “crank up” his tunes as loud as he could.
He spent most of his working life driving hydrovac trucks in Alberta, Nova Scotia and most recently in B.C. with High Altitude. It was a job he truly loved.
Not long after moving to B.C., he met the love of his life, Susie. They were married in Banff September 8 2020. They shared some very special memories and loved to take road trips across BC and explore new trails with their furbaby, Marty. They recently moved back to Nova Scotia to start the next chapter of their lives, starting a new business and building their forever home.
Moving back to Nova Scotia with his family was always a dream of his. He made the trip across Canada with his dad in October. They spent an unforgettable week together making that dream come true bringing his dump truck, and Marty along for the journey.
Anyone who met Justin knew he lived his life to the fullest, and was always up for an adventure. His contagious smile and sense of humor would light up any room. His kindness, strength and humility touched not only our family, but everyone who knew him.
Justin was a force to be reckoned with. He was an eternal optimist with a quick and ever ready smile. He had a deep desire to help others whenever he could and would give you the shirt of his back. Justin was a beacon of kindness and love and will forever reside in our hearts .His thoughtfulness knew no bounds. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through music and the love he instilled in us.
Funeral service was held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Chester, on March 13, 2025.
Memorial donations may be made to Animal Shelters / Rescues of your choice.
He will be remembered as the best husband, son and brother imaginable. We will remember him for his sense of humor, heart of gold and resiliency. We will love him forever.
