Obituary of Rodney Merle Vidito

Our big bearded mountain man unexpectedly passed away in his home Saturday morning, February 15, 2025. His mother, Effie Todd took his hand in spirit and passed with him in hospital the very same morning. 

 

Rodney Merle Vidito, 70, survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Ronna (Tim); son, Josh (Maria); granddaughters, Katlyn (Stephen), Josey, Samara, Avery, Isla, Effie, Sadie, and Emerson; brothers, Dick (Jamie), Peter (Pattie); brothers in law, Vance (Jackie), Dick (Linda), and sisters in law, Cindy, Linda, Vickie. Predeceased by his son, Jeremiah; father, Beverly, and stepfather, Graham. 

 

Rodney had a deep love for his family. He spent his days taking care of us, his beloved animals and farm. He had a great passion for hunting. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands and being outdoors. He was a quiet man, who became rather gentle as he grew older. 

 

Rodney will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. We know he’d want no fuss from anyone over his passing. We’re sure he’s been met with a hug and a beer from Bud. We’ll love you forever, Grampie Toe.
