I only became aware of Brenda's passing today, February 8th. I knew Brenda through all my days in school, both in South Brookfield and Caledonia. She showed great kindness to my mother, especially in her final year of life. I would like to send my condolences to all members of Brenda's family.

Jonathan and Mark,
Your Mother was a wonderful person. She was kind, generous, and community-minded. She was such a hard worker, but she always made it seem easy with her quiet smile. Caring for people truly was her passion.
Big hugs to you both!

Today we will pay our respects to a woman who would do anything for anyone in need. Working at Meadowbrook so many years she was not only a boss but a friend and made us all feel part of the Meadowbrook family. Through the good and the bad Brenda was always there for us. My last memory of her was the last time I saw her at the nursing home. I gave her a wave and a smile as I was leaving and she was weak but raised her hand and waved and smiled back. I will never forget that moment. Rest in peace dear Brenda.

We will always remember your Mom for her kindness and love that she had for anyone in need. The endless hours of care that she gave to so many will always be remembered. We had many good times at Meadowbrook Manor during Bible study and it was very eveident of her servant attitude because every occassion included sweets and drinks. We are certain your loved one is in a special place with the Lord. Keep the memories alive in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

From the time I can remember, Brenda and I were friends. We went to the little South Brookfield School together and spent a lot of time playing at her house. We grew apart in later years, but my memories of that time are warm ones. Brenda's presence in people's lives enriched them. My warm thoughts to her boys.

Jonathan and Mark: Very sad to hear of your dear Mother's passing. We moved from N.S. in 1971 and now live in Alberta and have not seen your Mom for many years. The last time would have been at my parent's, John and Betty (Ritchie) Elliott's, home in "The Valley" in the late '90's. They performed for the residents once at your Mom's nursing home when it was in her home and had a great time doing this. Your Mom was an Angel on earth and now an Angel in Heaven. Sincerely, cousin Kim Elliott and wife, Sharon.

To Jonathan and Mark: Please accept my sincere sympathy. The loss of your Mom is heartbreaking. I know you will miss her so much. I will never forget her kindness to my mother in law, Viola, when she lived at Meadowbrook, also her help and support to Fred and me. That care and support went out to all of her residents. She had a heart of gold. God bless.

My goodness it doesn't seem possible that this lovely lady has left us and gone to a new home, a beautiful home with no more sickness. just loving people. Brenda was wonderful to my folks when they were at her home and I can remember my mom saying she was like a daughter to her. She even went in the ambulance with my mom to Liverpool. She certainly gave her all and had a wonderful staff as well. To Jonathan and Mark you had a terrific Mom who loved you dearly and I know you will miss her but remember all the wonderful times you had with her.Remember she is now in God's hands with no aches or pain and living a life pleasing to all who knew her and loved her.

I began my nursing career under the mentorship of Brenda when she was caring for people in her own home in South Brookfield corner, the person she had working for her needed time off and one day while having a cup of coffee she asked me if I could help her out. I said I don't have a nursing bone in my body and truly don't know if I could do it but was willing to give it a try. She showed me the ropes, we had many fun and sad times together, thus began my nursing career and I went on to NSCC to begin my career.
Thank you Brenda!! Rest easy.
To Jonathan and Mark your mom was one of a kind, devoting her life to the care of others while being a loving mom to two wonderful sons, take care!!
