Obituary of Paul Anthony Todd

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Todd, Paul Anthony – 44 of Greenwood Square, Kings County, passed away suddenly in Soldiers Memorial Hospital on May 10, 2021. Born in Kentville, he was the son of John and Linda (Rafuse) Todd. Paul was deeply devoted to his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Other than his family, Paul’s passion was music. The louder the better. He was a purveyor in particular of The Tragically Hip, and sang to every song, no matter where, or how in tune he was. He was well known to his small group of lifetime friends to be a highly philosophical and spiritual thinker, always preferred conversation over media and truly enjoyed helping others. After spending many years looking for his life’s work and calling, it was when he began working as an Education Assistant, where he truly thrived with purpose in The Learning Center at Middleton Regional High School. Time spent at his dad’s camp playing cards by the fire and reminiscing about life was always treasured. He was an excellent swimmer and lifeguarded in his younger days. He loved the outdoors and camping, and was an expert level bonfire maker. Paul had a love of woodworking, making, and tinkering in his “shop” He was a true homebody. When he had a homecooked meal and fresh farm market biscuits or cookies, he was a very happy camper. Curling up with his two girls and snacks, or a bowl of ice cream to watch movies ranging from “Cool Hand Luke” to “Disney” was a typical weekend well spent. Paul had finally found inner peace surpassing all understanding when he humbly and willingly surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife, his forever prom and coffee date, Heidi (Payne); beautiful daughter, Abigail, Greenwood Square; adoring parents, John and Linda, Bridgetown; loving sister, Melissa (Darren) Veinotte, Timberlea; sweetest niece, Mackenzie; many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. To continue with his helping nature, Paul was an organ donor, with hopes this gift goes on to help many in need. Following Paul’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Visitation will be held 2- 4 pm Saturday, August 28, 2021, in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Covid 19 restrictions will be followed. Donations in Paul’s memory may be sent to the Learning Centre at MRHS. On line condolences may be made by visiting www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
