Thorburne, Jean Delphine – 88, of Clementsport, passed away March 28, 2020 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre with her sister, Joyce by her side. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Goodwin) Foote. Jean loved many things; gardening, a good Sudoku puzzle. She insisted that tea only tasted good from a china cup. She also was a great cook, and was famous for her molasses cookies. Jean is survived by her children, Jerry (Eulalie) Bruce, Cornwallis Park and Jane Bruce, Wilmot; Adopted and step children, Ralph Taylor, Clementsport, Patrick (Joan) Thorburne, Shelburne, Deanne Barlow (Paul), Ottawa, Thomas (Annette) Thorburne, Oromocto, Richard (Teresa) Thorburne, Shag Harbour, Lynes (Heather) Thorburne, Barrington Passage; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister, Joyce Wilson; brother, Allan (Ruth) Foote. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Jerry Bruce Sr., Lawrence Taylor, and John Thorburne; adopted daughter, Delores Briggs; sister, Gertrude Dalton, and one step grandchild. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Due to the resent outbreak of Covid – 19, a Celebration of Jeans Life will be held at a later date at the Clementsport Legion, Branch #122.
