So sorry for the Roger's passing. I remember him when he worked at Everett & Smith. We lived across the from the dealership when I was 7 yrs. old. When my Dad needed a part he would send me to go pick it up. Roger was so nice to me and some how he new exactly what Dad needed. Later in life I had him to fix my stove and my dryer. He never failed at making sure my trips to and from school and work were enjoyable, whether he was cracking jokes or talking about nothing in particular. If i was in a bad mood when getting on the bus he would make sure i was either laughing and/or in a better mood as i was walking off. Even just in passing he would stop and ask how the day was going. Not one negative bone in his body. The world has lost an awesome person. Rest easy.

Dear Carol and family - I was so very sad to hear of Roger’s passing. I have known him most of my life, and my memories always bring a smile to my face. Roger was very good to my parents, especially when he would get a call to go look at some machine that wasn’t working right. He never said no, and always came and went with a smile. So sorry for your loss Paulette, your Father was one of my most favourite customers in Cornwallis. Everyday while he was on his stop over he'd come down to the deli for his seafood sandwich and if I didn't have any he'd make sure to tell me when he'd be coming through next so I could have some ready. Always friendly and smiling.
Roger and I were in grade 12 together. Roger was a rather quiet man in class but he always knew the correct answer when called upon by the teacher. I remember so fondly the times that he would stop to pick me up on the way to school and that old 50s something car, that he was so proud of…. He was late for school a lot because for some reason or other the car wouldn’t start(Lol)At least that’s the excuse he used.My deepest condolences to Carol and your family .
