Veinot, Garnet Tremaine – 64 of Beaconsfield, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2017. Born in Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co., he was the son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Bruhm) Veinot. In his younger years he enjoyed playing hockey, darts and curling. He had a great love for the outdoors. Throughout the years, he worked at Acadian Distillery, Department of Natural Resources, Canada Post and Kings Transit Authority. He is survived by his children, David (Tammy), Michelle (Chris) Marshall and his 3 grandchildren, Parker, Jorja, and Ryan, all of Bridgetown; siblings, Mervin (Faye), West Peabody, USA, Lillian (Bernie) Nickerson, Lindsay, ON, Carolyn, Lower Sackville, David (Veronica), Deerfield, Joan (Sheldon) Bisson, Lower Sackville, Brenda (Glen) Crouse, Wilmot; sister in-law, Jennie House Veinot, Lower Clarence; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Vernon and sister, Louise in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A graveside service will be held 1pm Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in Garnet’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department.
