Obituary of Vivian Morse Walker

WALKER, Vivian Morse - 100 formerly of Granville Centre passed away October 27, 2016 at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born March 26, 1916 in South Milford, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Annie (nee Morse) Munroe. She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church in Granville Centre and devoted organist at the church for more than 60 years. She also played at Holy Trinity in Granville Ferry, and for many weddings and funerals over the years. During her working career, Vivian was employed at the Granville Ferry Post Office and the Annapolis Royal Regional Library. She enjoyed dancing, quilting, knitting, doing the Lexicon and will be remembered for her lemon pies and egg tarts always a treat at community & family gatherings. She is survived by son, Douglas (Marion) Walker, Granville Centre and daughter, Anna (Stirling) Fish, Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brenda (Russell) Ernst, Carleton Corner, Marlene Walker (Henry Stoddard) Clyde River, Anna (Ronald) Guest, Granville Centre, Robert Walker (Darlene), Bridgetown, Andrew Fish (Jane Wilson), Beamsville, Ontario, Barb (Mark) McMahon, Oakville, Ontario, and Heather (Walter) Cone, Bradenton, Florida; great-grandchildren, Linda Bent, Nicole and Michelle Guest, Keoni and Janelle Walker, Jennifer and Kelsey Fish, Connor and Taylor McMahon, and Laura and Ryan Cone; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Laurie Walker, brothers, Lamert, Edward, Frank and Reginald. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 7:00 pm in Annapolis Royal. Funeral service Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am from Saint Luke’s Anglican Church in Annapolis Royal with Rev. Juanita Barteaux officiating. Internment at Wadeville Cemetery in Granville Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivian’s memory would be appreciated to Mountain Lea Lodge or charity of your choice.
