BURRELL, Raymond (Art), Ray – 71 of Lequille. It is with great sadness that the family of Art Burrell, announces his passing on January 4, 2016. Art was born on April 8, 1944 in Annapolis Royal. As a young child he was raised in the Home for Coloured Children, which helped to make him the principled and kind man he grew up to be. Art was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Katherine (Marshall) Burrell; his brothers, Herbert and John; sister, Annie. Art is survived by his loving wife, Debi (Currie); daughters, Dorothy Burrell, Cathy Burrell (Mark), Tanya (Eric) Amon, and Dawn (Joey) Gravel; brothers, Gerald (Millie), James (Phyllis) and Bruce (Gloria); sisters, Edna (Raymond, deceased) Parker, Elizabeth (Cyril) Johnson, Ethel Warrington, Ina Cromwell, Margaret (Tommy) O'Donnell; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Debi would like to extend her thanks to Dr. Bonnington; Beth Bent; Collaborative Practice Team in Annapolis Royal.; Nursing department of the Annapolis Royal Heath Centre; the Palliative Care Unit (Dr. Burgess and her team); Dr. Martin LeBlanc at the QEII; Dr. Lethridge from Radiology and his team of nurses; VON Annapolis/Kings County; David and Maureen Hodgson for being our family. Art loved the outdoors, and was a huge fan of George Jones. Throughout Art's life, he has always been a hard worker and a good provider to his loving wife Debi. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2016 from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with David Hodgson officiating. The family has requested no flowers be sent.
