Marshall, Muriel Stuart, 85, of Bridgetown passed away after having fought a brief but courageous battle with cancer on July 25, 2010. Born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion Crawford (Ritchie) Hasse. Muriel loved to garden (especially her roses), hummingbirds, bowl and was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 59 years George; sons, Bruce (Val), New Germany; William (Aneda), Pakistan; loving grandchildren, Adam (Lisa), Ryan all of Ottawa; Geoff and Kirsty, Halifax, Melanie, Elk River, Minnesota; and great grandson, Benjamin William George, Ottawa. Muriel was predeceased by brothers, Gordon and Bob and was the last surviving member of her family. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. There will be no visitation or funeral service by her request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown with Pastor David Cumby officiating. Donations in Muriel's memory may be sent to the Mid Valley Palliative Care or to the Annapolis County Victorian Order of Nurses or to a charity of one's choice.
